Caramida aparenta antichizata Antracite Braised

Antracite because not everything has to be black and white

The surface of the brick is grey-anthracite. The colour is obtained by braising the bricks. This process of braising can cause slight colour shades in the brick.

The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side. The structure has a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface.

The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under slightly reducing atmosphere.

These hand-moulded facing bricks are made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
